چکیده

The amorphous to crystalline transformation in Fe78Tm2B20 (Sample S1) and Fe76Tm4B20 (Sample S2) alloys has been carried out using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) of the samples are also discussed to confirm the complete crystallization after heating. DSC analysis of the samples S1 and S2 showed that on heating the samples upto 1000 0 C, a sharp peak was observed at 545 0 C and 791 0 C respectively, indicating a primary crystalline phase appearing in the amorphous matrix. In sample S2 another sharp peak was observed at 896 0 C, indicating further crystallization in the sample. Both the samples are completely crystallized when temperature is above 929 0 C. In sample S2, the crystallization is a multi stage process where different crystalline phases grow in the amorphous matrix. SEM patterns of these samples showed that as cast samples are amorphous and the sample are completely crystallized when heated to 1000 0 C. EDS patterns also confirmed the complete crystallization of the samples after heating to 1000 0 C. Thus increase of Tm concentration in Fe-Tm-B alloy changes the process of crystallization.

Study of Crystallization Process in V-substituted Finemet Alloys

Nanocrystalline soft magnetic alloys can be produced by partial crystallization of amorphous precursor. The aim of this paper was to study the influence of Nb substitution by vanadium (V) in Fe73.5Cu1Nb3-xVxB9Si13.5 (x=1.5, 3) alloys on their crystallization process and the glass forming ability because the growth of the α-Fe(Si) crystals is reduced by (Nb) diffusion barrier. Amorphous ribbons ...

Using minerals chemistry of plagioclase for the study of magma crystallization process in Ravanj intrusive (NE Delijan)

The Ravanj intrusive, with tonalite, quartz-diorite, and microquartz-diorite composition, is exposed in the West of Ravang Village, NE Delijan, in Urmia-Dokhtar zone. Plagioclase is observed in three different sizes (coarse, intermediate, and microcrystalline) in the composition of in Ravanj intrusive. Most of the coarse crystals are zoned while intermediate and microcrystalline show polysynthe...
